  The House of 1000 Mirrors

Long ago in a small, faraway village, there was a place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors.

A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit.

When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house.

He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could.

To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his.

He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly.

As he left the House, he thought tohimself,“This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often.”

In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as thefirstone, decided to visit the house.

He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door.

When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him.

As he left, he thought to himself,“That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again.”

All the faces in the world are mirrors. What kinds of reflections do you see in the faces of the people you meet?

Once upon a time,A lion once fell in love with a beautiful girl, so he went to herparents and asked them to marry her to him.The old parents did not know what tosay.

They did not like the idea of giving their daughter to the lion, butthey did not want to enrage the king of beasts.

At last the father said, "We are glad to marry our daughter toyou, but we fear that you might possibly hurt her. So if you remove your clawsand teeth, we will give her to you."

The lion loved the girl very much, so he trimmed his claws and tookout his big teeth. When he came to the parents again, they simply laughed inhis face, and beat him out of their house.

(Thatman knows the future)

  Nasreddin was cutting a branch of a tree in his garden. While he wassawing, another man passed in the street. He stopped and said“Excuse me, but ifyou continue to saw that branch like that, you will fall down with it;

He said this because Nasreddin was sitting on the branch and cuttingit at a place between himself and the trunk of the tree.

Nasreddin said nothing. He thought, "This is some foolishperson who has no work to do and goes about telling other people what to do andwhat not to do."

The man continued on his way.

Of course, after a few minutes, the branch fell and Nasreddin fellwith it.

"My God!" he cried. "That man knows the future!"and he ran after him to ask how long he was going to live. But the man had gone……
